CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY
Effective Date: 21 June 2026
1. Overview
This Policy explains cancellation charges, refund eligibility, and timelines for all bookings made through Explore Rishikesh.
2. How to Cancel
Cancellations must be requested in writing via email (info@explorerishikesh.com) or through your booking account, stating your booking reference number. The cancellation date is the date we receive your written request.
3. Cancellation Charges
- More than 30 days before departure: 90% refund (10% deducted as processing/administrative charge)
- 15–30 days before departure: 50% refund
- Less than 15 days before departure: No refund
4. No-Shows & Unused Services
No refund is provided for no-shows, early departure from a tour/activity, or any service not utilized once the trip/activity has commenced.
5. Non-Refundable Components
Government permit fees, forest entry fees, and other statutory charges already paid to authorities on your behalf are non-refundable regardless of cancellation timing, as these are typically non-recoverable once submitted.
6. Cancellations by Explore Rishikesh
If we cancel a booking due to Force Majeure (weather, natural disaster, roadblocks, government restrictions, insufficient group size for an activity, etc.), we will offer a choice of: rescheduling to another available date, an alternative activity/itinerary of equivalent value, or a refund/credit to the extent recoverable from our vendors and partners. Where third-party vendor amounts are non-recoverable due to the same Force Majeure event, that portion may not be refundable.
7. Rescheduling
Rescheduling requests are subject to availability and must be made under the same notice-period timelines as cancellations (Section 3) to avoid being treated as a fresh cancellation.
8. Refund Process & Timeline
Approved refunds are processed within 7–14 business days from the date of approval, credited to the original payment method used for booking.
9. Mode of Refund
Refunds are issued to the original source of payment (card, UPI, bank transfer) only. We do not process cash refunds.
